Geneva: many tourist attractions
Why not take a flight to Geneva? The Swiss capital, nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), on the French border, is a charming city. It has a population of 191,000 and a giant fountain that rises 462 feet, which has become one of the city's symbols.
Old Geneva is also a pleasant pedestrian area with architecture that is typical of 18th century European cities. It is dominated by Saint Peter's protestant cathedral.

Other famous tourist attractions in Geneva are the Reformers Wall, with bas-relief sculptures representing the key figures in the protestant reformation, the Horloge Fleurie, a flower bed that represents a clock, the Brunswick monument which pays tribute to the city's benefactor, and the Nations Palace, the European seat of the United Nations. The city is headquarters to at least 22 international organizations and 250 non-governmental organizations. Geneva is also headquarters to the International Red Cross Committee, the World Trade Organization and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
Geneva, a city with an international dimension
As you can see, Geneva is a world-class city, the second largest city in Switzerland after Zurich and the first tourist destination in the country with the world's best quality of life. Every year, the city's airport welcomes nearly 14 million passengers. It is located 2.5 miles from downtown which you can reach by train for 3 Swiss francs, by car (in 15 minutes) or by bus (15 minutes).
If you take a cheap flight to Geneva, and to Switzerland in general, you will need a passport that is valid during your entire stay. You do not require a visa if you stay in the country for less than 90 days; the 90-day period begins when you enter the Schengen area, no matter which member country. The currency is the Swiss franc, however, businesses accept euros but give change in Swiss francs.
