Authorized, regulated, or prohibited goods for your trip

Review this non-exhaustive list of items that are prohibited and regulated on board our aircraft, based on IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulations and Air France's specific rules, in France and internationally.

For security reasons, external batteries (power banks) are prohibited in your checked baggage.

In the cabin, as their lithium batteries may cause a fire in the event of a short circuit, they are:

  • allowed only if they remain under your supervision and quickly accessible; using or charging them on board the aircraft is prohibited.
  • prohibited in the overhead storage bins.

Important In the cabin, external batteries (power banks) and spare or removed batteries between 100 and 160 Wh are limited to 2 items per person in total. Learn more
