What formalities need to be taken care of before my flight from Boston to Rome?

For stays lasting less than 90 days, no particular formalities are required. Make sure you have your airline ticket from Boston to Romeand a passport valid for more than three months.

For stays lasting longer than 90 days, you will need to fill in a visa request at the Italian Consulate in Boston.

How to reach the centre of Rome from the airport?

Once you have landed from your Air France flight from Boston to Romedeparting from Logan International Airport (BOS) and heading to Rome Fiumicino (FCO), you can easily reach the car parks where lots of car rental agencies are located. Rome’s city centre is then just 20 miles away.

Taxis are also available just outside the airport: the journey will cost about €45 ($55).

Otherwise, you could opt for public transport: trains (Leonardo Express or FL1 lines) or buses (Cotral). The journey will last 30 to 50 minutes.

  • By train: departing from the Rome Termini station, the journey will last 3h45 and cost €87 (about $100) per person.
