How to go to Paris from the airport?

Once you’ve embarked on your Boston to Paris flight, the next thing you’ll have to do is get to Paris city center. From Paris’ Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, it’s easy thanks to regular rail and bus connections. A light rail system connects the terminals to two railway stations from where onward journeys can be made to central Paris but also French cities as far away as Marseille and Strasbourg. CDG to central Paris by train takes as little as 30 minutes, whilst by bus it’s more like 45 to 80 minutes. In a taxi, the journey can be 35 minutes to the city center depending on traffic conditions.

What are the formalities for a flight Boston Paris?

BOS to CDG travelers who are US citizens will need a passport with at least three months validity to spare counting from the date of departure from France at the end of their trip. This entitles them to a maximum 90-day stay in France (for business or leisure purposes). More information is available from the Administrative Formalities section of the Air France website.

When to go to Paris?

Paris has quite cold winters, slightly warmer summers and it is not unusual to see rain in Paris, so dress accordingly. Any season is good for a tour, but know that the city does get extremely crowded, with long queues at major attractions in the months of July and August, so any other time of the year is preferable from a tourism point of view, with the month of Junebeing a good alternative.

What to do in Paris?

Paris boasts many of the world’s most visited tourist sights, which need no further introduction. However, it’s also home to festivals, concerts, sporting extravaganzas and spectacular celebrations.

Some of the best are:

  • Banlieues Bleues (jazz)
  • Fête de la musique (music events all over the city)
  • Tour de France (cycling’s top race)
  • Festival Paris l’été (multiple arts disciplines)
  • Bastille Day (fireworks displays and other celebrations)
  • Nuits Blanches (different cultural events, artistic performances).
